Emotional Stress Release Technique & Nervous System Integration

  • A virtual Emotional Stress Release session is a guided process that helps identify and release patterns of emotional stress held in the body. We begin with a brief check-in to clarify what you want support with. We can address mental blocks, emotional patterns, physical pain, chronic biochemical dysfunction, and more.

    Using a form of long-distance muscle testing and structured inquiry, we identify the underlying stress pattern, the emotional or physical systems involved, and what the body is trying to resolve. This is the active process of helping the nervous system integrate adverse experiences and let go of how “the body keeps the score”.

    By identifying the original event that set off the cascade of this pattern series, we can effectively release the emotional charge that keeps the nervous system stuck. It may have been weeks, months, or decades since the original stressor occured—you may even be mentally, rationally ok with the situation. However, the stressful imprint remains and keeps the nervous system in a state of heightened awareness and hypervigilence, as though the threat remains active and ongoing, despite being safe now.

    I then guide you through gentle somatic techniques, awareness cues, and corrective protocols designed to shift the stress response and support regulation. Most clients describe feeling lighter, clearer, ready to move forward in life and more grounded by the end of the session, and often notice changes in tension, mood, or how they relate to the original stressor. In some cases, there may even be a lessening of physical pain.

    Sessions are educational and experiential. They are not medical or mental health treatment, but a supportive way to work with how emotional stress shows up in the body, undo old programming, and help the nervous system integrate the emotional charge on prior events to facilitate greater physical and mental wellbeing.

  • While it depends from person to person, the ideal number is generally 2 sessions per month. We understand that not every budget can sustain this. Once per month is great as well, or in some cases, you can book when a big stressor comes up or you know is on the horizon (a big test, a layoff, a wedding, etc)

    Some people even choose to do weekly sessions for several months to deeply work through longstanding, ingrained patterns and physical pain. The older we are and the more adversity we have faced in life, the more unpacking there is to do.

    Packages are available at a slightly reduced rate to help you stay accountable. This is the best way to stay on top of things.

  • When it comes to dealing with nervous system regulation and chronic health issues, recovery does not happen overnight and can take months/years. It is a journey.

    That said, Emotional Stress Release sessions may help a person feel great improvements within one session or just a handful.

    Our favorite clients are dedicated to this journey for the longterm, however, we are willing to meet you wherever you are at in your process.

  • During the 45-minute follow up sessions, we will dig deep into a mental, physical, or “feeling” issue of your choice or whatever your nervous system indicates is the priority for that session.

    In 75-minute sessions, we have the opportunity to go deeper, sometimes multiple issues and “original events” can be addressed. In these sessions, generational trauma that correlates to something you have experienced in this lifetime may have the opportunity to surface. We will also generally have time to include additional components that support processing such as guided imagery to help fill the nervous system in with a positive imprint after we process the negative imprint. These sessions are our favorite!

  • Yes, sometimes these individuals respond the most profoundly to subtle nervous system regulation techniques.

    We gladly work with children, autistic and non-verbal individuals, bedbound family members, and beyond. All that is required is a willing parent, guardian, or caretaker to act as a “surrogate” for the process.

  • Yes! Oftentimes, nervous system regulation work is foundational to help a hypersensitive, reactive system come into balance on a deep enough level to be able to tolerate functional medicine protocols and supplements that aid in supporting these issues.

    One reason we decided to specialize in nervous system intergation work was due to a decade of experience in the functional medicine field, watching many sensitive individuals react negatively or intensely to supplement protocols that should theoretically be ideal for their conditions.

    Emotional Stress Release is generally very safe and calming rather than overstimulating for sensitive individuals.

  • Emotional Stress Release Technique and nervous system integration work in general is not spiritual or religious in nature. We are working on the systems that contribute to physiological stress in the nervous system that dampens the brain and body’s capacity to function optimally.

    That said, if you are spiritual or religious, we can weave that into the healing process if desired. In your intake forms, it will ask for your spiritual/religious beliefs (if you are comfortable sharing) so that we can be as culturally responsive to your individual needs and beliefs as possible.

  • No problem! It happens all the time. If you don’t have a specific issue you want to work on during that session, we will test your nervous system for the priority issue that needs to be cleared and go from there.

Functional Medicine Lab Testing + Nutrition & Holistic Health Consultations

  • Mostly commonly, we use Functional Medicine Testing for:

    • Heavy metal and nutritional mineral status

    • Mold & Mycotoxins

    • Detoxification status (liver, kidneys)

    • Immune system issues like autoimmunity, EBV, bacterial infections, yeast

    • Thyroid function

    • Lyme Disease & Co-Infections

    • Metabolic dysregulation

    • Sex hormones and endocrine stress hormone dysregulation

    All of these issues have an underlying nervous system dysregulation component, in additional to biochemical and phsysiological origins, so we prefer to address the whole person for best results!

  • A Nutrition & Holistic Health consultation can be used to discuss which Functional Medicine Lab Tests are ideal to gain more insight into your specific situation and symptoms, followed by Functional Medicine Lab Interpretation consultation to review the results.

    Nutrition & Holistic Health consultation can also be used by individuals who are newer to the holistic health scene to learn more about helpful diets, lifestyle modifications, biohacking tips, and more. It’s a great place to get started on your health journey!

  • During an initial Nutrition & Holistic Health consultation, we can discuss which lab testing options would best fit your specific situation and symptoms. We believe in biochemical individuality, and there is no one-size-fits all approach.

    Once we agree on which tests to run, we will bill you for the tests, send test kits and/or requisition forms to your address, and schedule a Functional Medicine Lab Interpretation appointment to review the results.

    To receive recommended supplements, we use Fullscript and DSS, and will provide you with information on how to purchase these supplements once your labwork is reviewed.

  • Absoultely! We actually prefer this. We want you to feel certain that we are a good fit to work together on your health goals, and we also want to ensure that you have the dedication required to help yourself heal.
