NeuroEmotional Technique (NET)
NeuroEmotional Technique (NET) is a powerful integrative approach combining elements of traditional Chinese medicine & meridian theory, chiropractic muscle testing, and Western psychology. Developed by Dr. Scott Walker, DC in the 1980s, NET helps identify and resolve emotional stressors that affect the body and mind, leading to mental blockages, repetitive patterns, and even physical pain or dysfunction in organs like the liver, kidneys, and heart.
NET works by uncovering the original event that triggered a pattern or blockage and releasing the emotional charge attached to it. Emotionally charged memories are stored in the nervous system, continuously draining energy as the body works to suppress them. By resolving these memories, NET allows the brain to reclassify them as objective experiences, freeing up energy for detoxification, cellular repair, immunity, and pain relief.
There are two approaches to NET: mind entry and body entry. In mind entry, we start with a conscious statement to address a specific issue. In body entry, we begin by focusing on an area of pain, sensation, or dysfunction, or by testing associated reflexes of organs. For example, if you have liver issues, we might focus there, or if energy levels are a concern, we could test based on adrenal function.
NET is highly effective in identifying whether there is a mental or emotional component to a physical issue. While biochemical and structural factors may also contribute, addressing the emotional aspect often facilitates deeper healing and resolution of the physical problem.
While some emotional release techniques can be done virtually, NET utilizes manual muscle testing and thus requires in-person sessions. This method has undergone extensive academic research, including brain imaging studies, and is used by healthcare practitioners to ensure precise and effective results.
Have you worked hard to consciously overcome emotional issues? Do you wonder how one goes about “letting go”? It is easier said than done, and took me many years to find out as I anguished to “let things go”. I found I could let go on a mental level, but patterns still found me. Through NET, I realized that I had conscious let go of certain issues, however, there was a subconscious imprint registered by my nervous system that could not be resolved consciously. This is where NET came in and changed my life.
NET has had a profound impact on my own health journey, and I am excited to share its benefits with you!
